The declarant creates a supplementary declaration and submits it to Swedish Customs using the EKES message. The supplementary declaration must include an LRN (Local Reference Number) and must be submitted no later than the deadline specified in the authorisation (EIR).

A declarant may also engage an representative who will handle their communications with Swedish Customs. The representative acts on behalf of the declarant.

The customs office of export receives the supplementary declaration and verifies that the information is correctly entered.

A case is created at the customs office of export, and the supplementary declaration is assigned an MRN.

The customs office of export sends the MRN to the declarant, using the KVT-ING message. The supplementary declaration is assigned Registered status.

Information that the supplementary declaration has been processed by Swedish Customs is received by the declarant in the customs declaration in the RES-ANK message. The information used to make the decision is communicated in the EKEF message. The supplementary declaration is assigned status.
