Anchorages

List of anchorages designated by Swedish Customs for presentation and arrival notifications.

Conditions

The customs formalities to be completed at the designated anchorages depend on which the circumstances of the individual vessel.

Find the conditions in the relevant section below.

The arrival of the vessel must be notified to Swedish Customs (Article 133 of the Customs Code).

The goods must be brought to a designated anchorage (Article 135 of the Customs Code, Chapter 5, Section 1(2) of the Provisions on Customs Matters).

  • Goods that will not be unloaded or transshipped
    • The goods should not be presented to customs (Article 139(2) of the Customs Code)
  • Goods that will not be unloaded or transshipped
    • Vessel carrying Union goods
      • The goods must be presented to Swedish Customs (Article 139(1) of the Customs Code).
      • The goods may only be unloaded after an unloading authorisation has been obtained (Article 140 of the Customs Code).
      • The goods may be removed from the place of notification only after authorisation from Swedish Customs (Article 139(7) of the Code).
      • In the specific cases where Union goods enter the customs territory of the EU after having temporarily left the territory without changing their customs status, the means of transport and the goods do not need to be declared or the authorisation for unloading is not required (Article 136(3) of the Code, with reference to Article 155(2), and Article 119(2) to (3) and 120 to 122a of the Delegated Regulation).
    • Vessel carrying non-Union goods
      • The goods must be presented to Swedish Customs (Article 139(1) of the Customs Code).
      • The goods may only be unloaded after an unloading authorisation has been obtained (Article 140 of the Customs Code).
      • The goods may be removed from the place of notification only after authorisation from Swedish Customs (Article 139(7) of the Code).
      • Non-Union goods that have been presented to Swedish Customs are in temporary storage (Article 144 of the Code). The goods should be covered by a temporary storage declaration (Article 145 of the Customs Code, Chapter 6 Section 6(2) of the Provisions on Customs Matters).
