Point of exit at unmanned border crossing, road traffic between Sweden and Norway
To arrive at an unmanned border crossing, a special decision by the Swedish Customs on exemption from routing and time (operating authorisation) (Article 267.1, Section 10 of the Customs Code and Chapter 16 of the Provision on Customs Matters) is required.
The list below specifies the border crossings that Swedish Customs has designated for the export of goods under a traffic authorisation (road traffic), alongside the corresponding customs offices of exit.
Operating authorisation for transports between Sweden and Norway
If the goods are in transit, the rules for the transit procedure apply.
Conditions
- The vehicle and the goods carried shall be taken on a route where there is a customs office (customs route) or, by special decision of Customs, via another route or time (Article 267(1) of the Customs Code, and Chapter 10, Section 16 of the Provisions on Customs Matters).
- The goods must be brought to a designated border control post (Article 267(1) of the Customs Code, and Chapter 10, Section 16 of the Provisions on Customs Matters).
- The goods must be presented to the customs office of exit (Arrival at exit) and be available for customs controls (Article 5(33) of the Union Customs Code and Article 331 of the UCC Implementing Regulation).
Designated border crossings
List of unmanned border crossings for road traffic at the Norwegian border that Swedish Customs have designated for exit. The location code should be declared in message IE507 (Arrival at exit) in data element 16 15 000 000 – Location of goods.
The Arrival at Exit notification (IE507) can be submitted while the goods are in transit to the border, provided they are within the specified GPS coordinates.
