Customs offices for road transport between Sweden and Norway

Conditions

• The vehicle and accompanying goods must be driven on a road where there is a customs office (customs road). By a special decision of Swedish Customs, this may be done at a time other than normal opening hours (Article 267(1) of the Customs Code, Chapter 10, Section 16 of the Provision on Customs Matters).
• The goods must be presented to the customs office of exit (Arrival at exit) and be available for customs controls (Article 5(33) of the Union Customs Code and Article 331 of the UCC Implementing Regulation).

To present goods at a customs customs office of exit and complete the customs formalities at a time other than regular opening hours, a special decision by the Norwegian Customs on exemption from routing and time (operating authorisation) (Chapter 10, Sections 16 of the Provision on Customs Matters) is required.
