Procedure for presentation notification after entry in the declarant's records for export

After entering the data from the customs declaration into the declarant's records, the declarant creates an presentation notification and submits it to Swedish Customs, using the EEDA message. The notification should contain a Local Reference Number (LRN).

A declarant may also engage an representative who will handle their communications with Swedish Customs. The representative acts on behalf of the declarant.

The customs office of export receives the notification and verifies that the information is correctly entered.

A case is created at the customs office of export, and the notification is assigned an MRN.

The customs office of export sends the MRN to the declarant, using the KVT-ING message. The notification is assigned Registered status.

The customs office of export will verify the correctness of the information in the presentation notification and decide whether the goods may be released. The decision to release the goods for export is sent from the customs office of export to the declarant, using the RES-FRI message. The notification is assigned Released status.

Now the goods can be loaded onto the means of transport and the goods can begin their journey to the place of export.

When the goods arrive at the place of exit, the carrier presents the goods to the customs office of exit. It can be submitted digitally to Norwegian Customs via Digitoll, or the MRN number can be displayed via a scannable barcode.

Swedish Customs will process the exit notification and decides whether or not to issue an exit certificate.

The customs office of export issues an exit certificate and sends it to the declarant in message EEIU. The notification is assigned Exported status.
