Customs status of the goods
Goods can either have the customs status of Union goods or non-Union goods. In simple terms, Union goods are goods produced in the EU and in free circulation in the Union.
Presenting and storing goods – Import
Goods that are are imported to the customs territory of the Union, notification must be given at the time of arrival. Once you have presented your goods to the customs authority, the goods are considered to be in temporary storage.
Notification of goods, export and exit
When goods are to be taken out of the customs territory of the EU, they must first be presented to the customs office of export. Thereafter, the goods shall be presented at the customs office of exit.
