Declaring goods for export
When exporting goods, you are always required to submit a digital export declaration to Swedish Customs. You may choose to submit it personally, or hire an agent.
Free trade when exporting
If you export a product, you can often get duty-free or reduced tariffs on your product thanks to the free trade agreements, unilateral preferential arrangements and customs union agreements that the EU has concluded with many countries.
Special regulations for certain goods
If your goods are covered by export restrictions, you generally need an export licence or some form of authorisation.
Exporting goods to an EU Member State
It is, in principle, free movement of goods between the countries of the EU. Consequently, you do not need to submit an export declaration when you sell to an EU Member State.
