Invalidating an import declaration
If you have declared your goods under the wrong customs procedure or submitted a declaration by mistake, you need to apply to have the declaration annulled.
If the goods have not been released
If you have declared goods under the wrong customs procedure, remember to submit a new customs declaration. If the new customs procedure requires an authorisation that you do not have, you must also apply for an authorisation for the new customs procedure.
For more conditions on annulment before release, see Article 174 of the Union Customs Code.
If the goods have been released
Please remember to submit a new customs declaration, if you have declared goods under the wrong customs procedure. If the goods have already been released, you must submit your application within 90 days of the date on which we approved your original customs declaration.
For more conditions on annulment after release, see Article 148 of the UCC Delegated Regulation.
Correcting an incorrect entry
If you only need to correct an incorrect entry in a customs declaration, you should not apply to annul the entire declaration, but instead request an amendment.
