Undeclared goods

Imported goods that have not been registered or declared are considered undeclared.

If you have received your goods and confirmed with your carrier that the shipment has not been declared to Swedish Customs or other customs authority within the EU for any reason, the goods are undeclared. You must then contact Swedish Customs to report the undeclared goods and submit documentation for manual customs declaration.

How to register your undeclared goods

The information we need to make a correct decision is specified in the form ‘Basis for calculating customs duty in connection with non-compliance under Article 79 of the Customs Code’. There is also a supplementary sheet if there is more than one goods item. You need to attach any documents that support your statements, such as invoices and consignment notes. You are also required to provide information about who is responsible for the shipment.

Companies must also submit a completed form entitled ‘Information for calculating customs duties and determining the debtor in connection with non-compliance under Article 79 of the Customs Code’. Many companies choose to use a customs representative who can help you prepare the documentation.

Send your documentation by e-mail or regular mail
