EDI – Final tests for declarants

Your company must perform final tests for the messages you intend to use in production. The final tests must be submitted to us for approval.

The final tests described here are intended for declarants that are using a software that has already carried out approved tests. Once your own tests are approved, you can send and receive messages in production, on condition that the other terms for the messages are fulfilled.

Submit final tests

When the final tests have been completed with the expected results, send an email to the EDI test function stating

  • your company name, EORI number or corporate identification number
  • your company’s contact person for EDI issues (name and email address)
  • name and number of each final test
  • LRN (tull-id) or MRN number for each final test
  • which system is used.

The final tests must not be more than a month old, and you must have received approved reply messages to all your test transaction. When contacting the EDI test function, always state the test case number (EDI-XX) which you received with information about the company’s registration.

The test indicator must be activated when using the test environment, otherwise the messages are sent in the production flow. After the tests are completed you should remove the test indicator.

In some situations, your company only needs to perform a few final tests to continue using the messages you already use in production:

  • You are changing to another system that has carried out approved tests, new final tests needs to be performed on a new technical appendix.
  • You will undergo a merger, i.e. “changes EORI number” and takes over software and personnel from another company that has TVEDI, new final tests need to be performed.
  • You are changing communication location or method but continues to use the same system on a new or existing technical appendix.

Which final tests should be perform in these situations depends on which messages the company are using, and will continue to use in the future.

If your company is eligible for a simplified testing procedure, you apply for an amendment of your TVEDI decision.

Final tests as a declarant

The final tests are structured according the relevant customs process. If needed, we may publish new final tests and change existing final tests.
