Customs warehouse
A customs warehouse is a location that has been approved by Swedish Customs, where you can store your or third party`s non-Union goods are placed under the customs warehousing procedure.
If you are not planning to use or sell your goods immediately upon arrival, you can store them in a customs warehouse. In this case, you only pay customs duties and taxes when you discharge the customs warehousing procedure and declare the goods for import. If the goods are to be re-exported, you will not pay any duties or taxes on the goods in the EU.
There are two ways to lodge a customs declaration when placing goods under the customs warehousing procedure: either via a system solution or via the ‘Tullager’ online service.
