Acceptance message, CWAC

This section details the information required for the acceptance message CWAC.

When submitting a customs declaration for the customs warehousing procedure, you must specify the customs warehouse where the goods are to be stored.

If the declarant is not the same entity as the authorisation holder for that customs warehouse, Swedish Customs sends an acceptance request to the authorisation holder. The purpose of this request is to ensure that the authorisation holder acknowledges and consents to the storage of the goods at their facility.

Once the authorisation holder has received an acceptance request, a response must be submitted for the declaration to be processed. The authorisation holder responds by sending the acceptance message CWAC.

Required Information

State the LRN specified in the declaration and communicated via the acceptance request.

State the MRN assigned to the declaration and communicated via the acceptance request.

RE: Deny storage.

AP: Accept storage.

Note: If you respond by accepting the storage of goods (AP), ensure that the "Guarantee details" field is completed accurately.

If you retain a customs representative to transmit the message, you must provide the following two details concerning the representative:

  1. The representative’s identification number in the form of an EORI number
  2. Code for representative’s status, to indicate the type of representation applied:
    1. Code 2 for a direct representative
    2. Code 3 for an indirect representative.

If you do not retain a customs representative, leave this section blank.

Provided in two steps:

  1. Reference: The authorisation holder's EORI number.
  2. Authorisation type code:
    1. CW1 for a public customs warehouse type 1
    2. CW2 for a public customs warehouse type 2

Enter the location of goods code. A location of goods code consists of three letters and is specified in the authorisation.

If you as the authorisation holder accept the storage of the goods in your customs warehouse and have agreed with the declarant that your guarantee will be used, state the Guarantee Reference Number (GRN).

Type of guarantee:

0 – A guarantee type for the customs warehousing procedure may be one of the following:

  • For guarantee waiver (Article 95(2) of the Code)
  • 1 – For comprehensive guarantee (Article 89(5) of the Code) if the guarantee for the customs warehousing authorisations is used
  • 2 – Individual guarantee in the form of an undertaking by a guarantor (Article 92(1)(b) of the Code)
  • 3 – Individual guarantee in cash or other means of payment recognised by the customs authorities as being equivalent to a cash deposit, made in Euro or in the currency of the Member State in which the guarantee is required (Article 92(1)(a) of the Code)

Reference

The reference corresponds to the 10-character code/identity starting with S. You can find the guarantee reference on the receipt you received from Swedish Customs when you lodged the guarantee. You can also find the reference via our online services.

If you as the authorisation holder have agreed with the declarant that they will provide their own guarantee, this detail is omitted entirely.
