
Why are you checked?
One of Swedish Customs’ tasks is to prevent the illegal import and export of goods. Our checks are necessary so that we can fight the smuggling of narcotics, weapons, child pornography, etc.
You may be checked even when you are doing things correctly
Our control (checking) operations are necessary for us to fight, for example, the smuggling of narcotics and the spread/escape of disease and hazardous substances. Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.

If so, please ring Swedish Customs on +46 771 520 520 and select the option to speak with a telephonist. Ask to be connected to the customer ombudsman (KUNO). This service is available weekdays from 08.00 to 16.30.
