Get a refund for goods purchased in the EU
When you order goods from another EU country, you do not normally have to pay any duties to Swedish Customs. If you have paid duties, you can apply for a refund.
Just because you have ordered goods from a company within the EU does not always mean that the goods have been shipped from the EU.
The application should contain the following
- Contact information
- Reason for the application
- Customs identifier (Customs ID MRN or LRN code)
- A picture of the address label
- Proof of Union status
Optional information
- Social security number or coordination number, which enables us to send our response to your digital inbox (e.g. Kivra).
- Bank information, to receive the funds by direct transfer, instead of receiving a paper cheque.
Important
Swedish Customs may request additional information.
Refund of the carrier fee
If the carrier has charged you an administrative or customs declaration fee, you should contact them to ask for a refund of these fees.
