Procedure for incidents during movements of goods
Our current transit procedures are being adapted to the requirements in the Union Customs Code. Learn more about procedures when incidents occur during movements of goods.

1. Contact the closest open customs office
The declarant, transport undertaking or any other actor contacts the closest open customs office and reports the incident.
The customs office will register the incident and make a decision about any further procedures.
The customs office of departure will be notified of the incident.
2. Receiving information about the incident
- The customs office of departure receives information about the incident..
3. Informing about the incident
The customs office of departure will send information about the incident to any affected customs office where the transit has not yet been presented, and to the declarant.
4. Receiving information about the incident
Affected customs offices and the declarant receive information about the incident.
