Supplier's declaration from Turkey

Use a supplier's declaration when required to validate the origin of the goods while importing goods from Turkey using A.TR certificates.

The EU and Turkey have an agreement to use supplier's declarations when certifying the origin of goods. Given that A.TR indicates that goods are in free production, but not their origin, a supplier declaration must be issued if proof of origin is required at a later stage in the trade chain.

Turkey has been a member of the pan-European Free Trade Area since 1999 and is gradually entering the new Europe-Mediterranean Area. However, this does not affect trade between the EU and Turkey, which still requires Commodity Certificate A.TR.
