Standard customs declarations for exports (UNU)

In accordance with the standard export procedure, you should first submit a customs declaration and subsequently present your goods for export at a customs office of export, thus allowing Swedish Customs to authorise the export.

Submitting your declaration

Submit your standard customs declaration to Swedish Customs using the digital message UNU.

Presenting the goods at the customs office of export

Next, present your goods for export (request clearance) by presenting the customs ID of your customs declaration at the exit customs office.

Choose the Swedish Customs office responsible for the location where you, the exporter, are established, or where your goods are packed and loaded for exportation. Your goods should be made available for inspection, and you are required to present any authorisations or licences required for your goods.

When Swedish Customs has approved the declaration and released your goods for export, you will also be provided a Master Reference Number (MRN).

Export Accompanying Document

You will also need an Export Accompanying Document containing the MRN and indicating that Swedish Customs has approved the customs declaration and released the goods for exportation. The Export Accompanying Document is provided by the exit customs office. It should then be presented at the exit customs office from which the goods exit the customs area of the EU.

Declaration guide UNU

Here you will find a declaration guide for standard customs declarations using the UNU message.
