International Customs Operation “Early Bird" completed
The German Zollkriminalamt (Customs Criminal Office), together with the German Department of Foreign Affairs, has coordinated on behalf of the Council of the European Union, and in cooperation with the Swedish Customs authority the first European wide control operation for the prevention of the proliferation of sensitive goods, e.g. goods for the production of weapons of mass destruction.

Entry and exit summary declarations
From 1 July 2009, you have to send pre-arrival and pre-departure information to the customs authority for all goods entering or leaving the EU, according to EU legislation.
Are you carrying € 10 000 or more in cash?
Don't forget to declare it!
All travellers entering or leaving the EU with € 10 000 or more in cash must declare the sum to Customs in order to comply with European Regulation (EC) No 1889/2005 applicable from 15 June 2007.
