The Swedish postal service, Posten, provides parcel management services at partner offices such as petrol stations and grocery stores. It may be somewhat confusing to figure out what types of parcels can be used for consignments to foreign countries.
International Parcel Post
International Parcel Post generally refers to parcels which the recipients in the foreign country (usually private individuals) retrieve themselves from the post office. You fill in the consignment note, which is a set of forms that includes an address label, Posten´s customs declaration, export declaration and a receipt. You may then choose to send your parcel from a post office or partner office.

Sending DPD Business Parcel
DPD is an international door-to-door service for companies with a service agreement with Posten. A special address label is placed on the parcel, and a Single Administrative Document (customs declaration) and invoice are placed in a plastic sleeve next to the address label. Posten retrieves the parcel from the company in Sweden, and delivers it directly to the foreign company.
Receiving parcels
If you receive a business-related parcel from a country outside the EU which Posten mistakenly failed to declare, you must send in a declaration with supporting documents and an explanation to Swedish Customs. We will then send you a customs bill.
