Tobacco as a gift
As a private individual, you may receive single consignments containing tobacco as a gift, if it is sent from another private individual and is for your personal use.
Remember - you must be 18 years of age to receive tobacco products.
Gift from a country outside the EU
Duty-free allowance for tobacco products is limited to
Duty-free allowance for tobacco products is limited to
- 50 cigarettes or
- 25 cigarillos or
- 10 cigars or
- 50 grams smoking tobacco
- or a combination of these products corresponding to the indicated proportions.
Tax, however, must always be paid for tobacco products. Tax for cigarettes, for example, is 1,85 SEK per cigarette.
Gift from another EU country
As a private individual, you may receive as a gift single consignments containing tobacco from a country within the EU without being charged. However, this only applies if the gift comes from another private individual and is for your personal use.
