Important dates for pre-arrival and pre-departure information

1 October 2009

  • From this date it is mandatory to include pre-departure information in the export declaration. In case of indirect export, if you use UGE messages sent via EDI, you must have the possibility to receive the export release message ZEM and to print the Export Accompanying Document, EAD.

1 January 2010

  • In case of direct export, if you use UGE messages sent via EDI, you must have the possibility to receive the export release message ZEM and to print the Export Accompanying Document, EAD.

24 April 2010

  • The business test environment for entry summary declarations is available.

1 January 2011

  
  • It becomes mandatory to submit electronic entry summary declarations before importation and — in cases where an export declaration is not required — separate electronic exit summary declarations before departure of goods.
  • Accredited operators who up to this date have been exempt from sending pre-departure information before each removal of goods for direct export, now have to start submitting such information in the export declaration.
