Exports for processing or repairs within the framework of the EU’s General Scheme of Preferences (GSP)
If you are exporting goods that originate in the EU which are intended for processing or refinement in a developing country, use a statement on origin in cases where the buyer needs to certify the origin of the goods.
The EU grants relief of duty on exports of certain goods from developing countries to the EU via the General Scheme of Preferences (GSP). Certificates of origin, or in some cases prior to the beginning of 2021Certificate of Origin GSP Form A, are used to certify the origin of goods imported to the EU from developing countries.
When exporting goods that originate in the EU which are intended for processing or refinement in a GSP State, use a statement on origin in cases where the buyer needs to certify the origin of the goods. To issue certificates of origin for consignments where the value of the originating goods exceeds EUR 6,000 you need to be a registered exporter, REX.
