Approved site for export

If you want to present goods for exportation from any other site than a customs office, i.e. from the site where the goods are loaded for exportation, you are required to apply to have that site approved.

Who may apply?

To request an approved site of exportation, a company must have an EORI number and be established in the EU.

If your company does not have an EORI number you can find out more about it on the EORI page.

Location of goods code

Swedish Customs will assign each approved site a location of goods code. This code identifies the location and consists of three letters. Enter the code in your customs declaration to indicate the location where your goods are loaded for exportation.

Customs declaration

There are two kinds of customs declarations that can be used when sending the goods from an approved site of exportation. You may either use a standard customs declaration or a simplified declaration.

Standard customs declarations

Submit your standard customs declaration to Swedish Customs using the message UGE. Enter the location of goods code for the approved site in your customs declaration. If you have been granted a place of loading code for several places of loading you are also required to enter the address of the location in data element 44.

Standard customs declarations with simultaneous declaration of the goods (UGE).

Simplified declaration

Submit your simplified customs declaration to Swedish Customs using the message ALE. Enter the location of goods code for the approved site in your customs declaration. If you have been granted a place of loading code for several places of loading you are required to provide a list of all locations included in the place of loading code.

Simplified export declarations (ALE)
